The app that I am going to review for the UPI payments today is KhaaliJeb (http://KhaaliJeb.com). Well don’t go by the meaning of the name in Hindi, basically KhalliJeb is making UPI payments more simpler and handy. With this app you don’t need to worry about which UPI payment gateway’s QR you’re scanning, you can still transfer any amount from your connected bank account.

Furthermore, let’s do a pros and cons about KhaaliJeb:

Pros:

  • Easy:
KhaaliJeb really satisfy for the first time UPI payment user to send or receive payments with its super quick UX. As send/receive money are one of the first buttons to make your work much easier with Check Balance. Even though many apps are using the same UI scheme but there placing of buttons in middle of the screen makes it super easy to identify.

  • Open to any gateway:
Few days back at a cake shop I was struggling for payment where KhaaliJeb actually came in handy as they were only accepting PhonePe based online payments and I usually keep PayTM with me. But I tried for the same QR code on KhaaliJeb and it really worked. So now you’re on any merchant you don’t have to worry about installing different apps for different types of gateways. This app itself is enough to make your payments in single-pane-of-glass.

  • Works the same way:
As sending and receiving money is just 1-2 tap of process in this app, but usually in other apps processes are different to send and receive money. Whereas they tried keeping both the things almost in same fashion so User Experience for business and consumer is similar that will lead to less disturbances in future.

  • Seamless:
Basically this pros or advantage is due to UPI payment procedure as your payments are seamless and works on the live-go, straight from your account. Not like NEFT procedure where you need to wait for days to complete a single transaction, of any amount.

Cons

  • No offers:
Being a good seamless transaction app there are no offers in the app from which you can take real benefit out, as-of-now. But in future plans and updates we can expect from KhaaliJeb to dominate a few cash back or other discount offers coming in your way.

  • Only on Android:

This is not sort of a con as such but there are many users from iOS which they are away for now. I know that they will be building a business strategy for iOS and other platform users. But for now its available only for Android users.

KhaaliJeb is one of the ventures that is focusing businesses, consumers and most important segment of the nation “students”.

Yes students are the most dominant part for any tech trend in the nation. Unfortunately very few of the online payment giants of the country is focusing on students only campaigns and features. Whereas from KhaaliJeb’s app and website it seems like they are trying to build a community among students for online payments. As per their pitching it seems like they will be giving offers for students to buy any books, electronics, stationeries and much more.

So download now KhaaliJeb on your smartphone to get started with seamless money transactions via UPI/BHIM payment systems. Currently they have referral/invites program for the same and so after downloading make sure you to invite your friends too, to get some benefits out of it.

For students, just wait a smudge, hell lot of offers for you are on the way from KhaaliJeb for the things you buy daily.
